I am Karelian

Am I really an
authentic Karelian?
So it seems
Karelia is in my dreams
Like the sun in its beams

In Karelia I have my roots
Though I don't feel it under my boots
My family had to leave it behind
But it remains in my mind
It's in my veins, I feel refined

Going to Karelia is not a fashion
It is my passion
It gives me serenity
With my Karelian heredity
it strengthens my identity
